Software Requirements
The LoanXEngine suite is web-based enterprise application for Internet or Local Area Access. Users interface with the software using standard web browsers. LoanXEngine can either be hosted within our datacenter, or you may elect to bring the application into your own in-house environment, if desired.
Technology utilized in the LoanXEngine suite includes best choice selection depending on requirements. Portions of LoanXEngine are written in Cold Fusion, Java, .NET, javascript, dhtml and of course, html.
LoanXEngine is a secured application and supports Secure Socket Layers (SSL). There are over 12 levels of group security, login tracking, hack attempt logging, password protections, change audit logging, and other security related features. Critical customer information is encrypted, and stored encrypted in the database to meet additional security needs.
For best application use, the following browsers, mobile browsers and RSS reader applications would be recommended.

- Mac OS 9.x: Netscape 7.02

- Pocket PC, Explorer
Recommended RSS Readers (for offline alerts):

Self-hosting Server Considerations:
If desired, LoanXEngine can be brought in house to your company's datacenter. While we have Standardized on Dell 2950 servers in our own datacenter, a comparable server will work just fine. The application tends to be memory and CPU intensive, so you want to make sure you've got lots of RAM and multiple speedy processors. Here are some recommendations.
- RAID Configuration, Minimum 250GB drives
- 4 Gigabytes of RAM
- Multiple speedy processors (Please Note: LoanXEngine is untested on 68 bit processors)
- For reasonable loads you can have the SQL Server (the database) and the Application server (Website/LoanXEngine application) on the same computer. As you grow, however, traditionally you can gain more scalability by putting each of these components on their own CPU box.
- For Enterprise edition, you can have as many application servers and databases, or database servers as desired. Each server, in essence, operates independently.
Server Software Required:
- Microsoft Internet Information Services: 5,6+
- Microsoft Server: 2000/2003
- Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or 2005
- Cold Fusion MX 7 or 8 Standard Edition
Secure Server Requirement:
- SSL (secure socket layer)
It is important to have backup plan in place and perform regular backups. Please keep in mind that you will want to back up the Database and the LoanXEngine Application. Other system settings can be backed up, but these 2 items should be considered a requirement.
